A Change In The Tide: Is Faber vs Cejudo Next?

Writer's picture: meepmmameepmma

Last night at UFC Sacramento we all where at the edge of our seats, when Urijah Faber enter the octagon two years after his departure. Would time away change Faber? Will he perform just aswell? Or has Father time caught up to the California Kid? Well it only took 46 seconds to shut-down all those questions, when Faber KO'd Ricky Simon upon his return. The crowd erupted when the punch was landed and the follow up scramble and follow up punches. It was a short but sweet return for Faber, who is 40 years of age, looked better then ever. In his post-fight speech, Faber did what alot of people thought, including myself, was going to do. He addressed the Henry Cejudo call-out. At UFC 238, after becoming A Double Champ, Henry Cejudo made a so called 'Hit List' of potential opponents he wants to fight, and Urijah Faber was one of them. Not even 24 hours after Fabers return, the two men have already exchanged words With each other on Social media. With how things go nowadays in the UFC, if a fight generates interest and the fans talk about it, that's the fight to make. Will Urijah Faber and Henry Cejudo actually happen? Is it just all hype and talk or is there a genuine interest to see this fight. Only time will tell with this one, but the way matches are made nowadays and especially with the whole PPV buys a big deal, I can see Faber jumping the queue over the likes of Joespeh Benavidez and Aljamin Sterling, unfortunately. This is still all just up in the air and also it's only Fabers first fight back in two years. Let's see how this all plays out. But, Urijah Faber vs Henry Cejudo does sound very good to me.
