There Can Only Be One

After an unofficial bantamweight tournament last night at UFC Fight Island. We have now two fighters with incredible performances last night in the same position and the question is: Who is the most deserving contender?

Are we looking at a rematch between Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie for the official no.1 contender spot?

Last night both Holm and GDR put on impressive performances in the octagon as Holm won a lopsided victory over rising star Irene Aldana. It was Holms best performance in some time winning in all exchanges in the bout. GDR also scored her first submission win as made Julianna Peña tap out in the 3rd round into their fight. Now do we get to see the rematch between Holm and GDR?

The last time both fought was to determine the first ever Featherweight Champion in the UFC back at UFC 208. GDR would go on the win the fight and the champship, obviously not without any controversy, GDR landing a blow after the one of the rounds ended. She would later be stripped of the title and both fighters would go onto working their way back up the ranks and gain another title shot.

Now that Holm and GDR have wins after last night's event the next logical option is to have them fight for the official no.1 spot to challenge GOAT Amanda Nunes for her bantamweight championship.

Do you think the UFC will make the rematch? or has both fighters proven enough to get serpate shots at the title?

We have a interesting situation here.
