The biggest Martial Art event ever is just days away from now as ONE Championship will be hosting its 100th Show in Tokyo,Japan. ONE: Century will make it's mark in history by, not only hosting one event but two events in the same day. Part one will be a morning show while part two will be a night show. *This week I will be solely focusing on ONE: Century and my first article I will be writing about is the huge Main Event between Angela Lee and Xiong Jing Nan for the ONE Atomweight Championship. And That Starts Now.* It is the most important fight in ONE Championship history ever, and I mean that, this fight could change everything for the company as ONE Atomweight Champion Angela Lee will defend her title against ONE Strawweight Champion Xiong Jing Nan at ONE Century:Part 1. These two already fought earlier this year at ONE: A New Era when Lee was looking to become a Double Champion in the Promotion and become a Superstar aswell. Well, On the night it didn't go to plan as Xiong Jin Nan not only upset but Knocked out Lee to retain her title. Xiong was to much for Lee on the night as Xiong pressure,power and body shots just took its toll on Lee in the end. Lee was close to finishing Xiong in Round 4 but somehow survived Lee's Submission and was saved by the bell.
Xiong put a stop to Lee's momentum and her chances of becoming a Double Champion, but now the tables have turnt as it is now Xiong's chance to Become the first ever Chinse Double Champion and a win will put her name into the history books forever. This is a huge opportunity for Xiong, as she is on the verge of achieving everything she ever wanted in life and is going into this fight confident she can. With a Win Xiong will not only become A Double Champion but she might even become the new face of ONE Championship. A new Hero could emerge from this fight.
Angela Lee, however, Has learned alot from her lost at ONE: A New Era and is determined to keep what is rightfully hers, The ONE Atomweight Title. Xiong Gave Lee her first Carrer loss and that hit Lee hard. Up to that point Lee was undefeated in her MMA career, but has not only lost to Xiong but lost her second fight at Strawweight at ONE: Masters Of Destiny earlier this year to Michelle Nicolini. Lee is on the verge of a Three fight losing streak and she is not going to let that happen come ONE:Century.
With Both Fighters learning alot since their first fight, I expect a complete different fight this time around. Lee will be looking to use her Wrestling and BJJ more then she did in the first. Xiong knows Lee is excellent in both areas, so I expect Xiong would be looking to keep this a stand up war, where she shines. That's how Xiong won the first remember. Lee is out for redemption this time, no room for error anymore. it is make or break for Lee at this moment.
This Fight has so much at stake and the fallout could change ONE Championship forever as: The Face of the Promotion: Angela Lee looking not only to defend but break a two fight streak aswell and prove to everyone that she is the superstar and champion she is. The Rising Star: Xiong Jin Nan is on the verge of making history by becoming the first ever Chinse Female Double Champion, proving to the Martial Arts world never to doubt her again.
This is it Peeps! The biggest event of the year and the most important fight in all of ONE Championship history. I will be glued to this fight from the opening bell to its finish. I can't wait for this fight.
