Gregor Gillespie done the thing that he said he would never do and that was to Callout any Fighter in the divsion. And earlier on today(or tonight depends where you are in the World) when he finally broke his silence on Social Media,and it was a good call-out: Former Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis. Gregor who has been silent for quite some time, and fans eager to know where he is,What is he up to and when he will be back, finally got an answer. Gregor posted a Video to his social Media page and called out Anthony Pettis to drop back down to LW and face him at UFC 244 in New York. Obviously this is still fresh and Anthony has not yet replied, But for a first call-out, What a fighter to want to dance with.
Gregor is an impressive 13-0 record as an MMA fighter, 6 of which are in the UFC. He made his debut back in 2016 for the Promotion and has been on a roll since. He might actually be Lightweights most feared Fighter, given all his last performances and his record. With his rise to through the ranks, Gregor is looking for top level competition now and no better way then calling out one of UFC'S Top Fighters then Anthony Pettis.
Gregor wrestling is above anyone's else's. The former Four time all American Wrestler has always had this allure to him, He always let his skills and fights do the talking and never really called out any opponents, Kind of old skool way of doing things. Keep beating Opponents until the fans and critics take notice, but believe me, We all took Notice of 'The Gift' Straight away when he came onto the scene.
This is a perfect opportunity for Gregor to comeback too. His last fight was too Yancy Medeiros back in January this year, when he won the fight by TKO, Where he dominated Yancy with his Wrestling up until the end. Gregor is one Fighter that the fans and critics want to see compete more often.
So Hopefully this steams rolls something in Gregor favour, If he gets Pettis, what a match that would be, but if he gets another opponent, Hey at least we Get to see Gregor back in the Octagon this year.
