With everyone still reeling from UFC 244 and the fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, I think people forgot that there is a another event this weekend. UFC Moscow will officially be the "Zabit Show" this coming weekend and there is alot of hype around this man since he came on the scene in 2017 and now this is his time to let the world know who exactly he is.
Zabit Magomedsharipov or Zabeast as fans like to call him, is one of the top prospects to enter the MMA scene in some time. He is currently undefeated in his UFC run and has put on amazing performances one after other. MMA fans took notice of him straight away, especially with his risk taking approach to fighting his opponents. He is not only dangerous on the feet but he has Elite level of wrestling too which makes him not an ideal opponent for anyone.
Zabit is knocking on the door of a Title shot and I feel like he's only one win away from doing so, but first he will have to face Calvin Kattar first in the Main Event at UFC Moscow. Calvin is coming of two back to back first round KO's and is looking to shutdown the Zabit hype train in Moscow. This fight was orginally scheduled for UFC Boston, but got moved to Moscow instead. In what was meant to be a 3 round fight, is now a 5 round main event. This fight is important for both fighters and the winner of this will most likely be next for a title opportunity. But can Calvin make it past Zabit or will the Russian succeed in front of his Homeland?
This will be Zabit's biggest fight to date, main eventing in his Homeland and in front of his Countrymen, the UFC are already behind Zabit and a win for him this weekend would turn this prospect into a title Contender, and Zabit is more then ready for the opportunity.
