It has been a rollercoaster of emotions the last few days surrounding UFC 244 and what exactly has and is going to happened, but now, finally we can take a sigh of relief that its fight week and the most anticipated fight of the year is just days away from happening. Sides have been chosen, fans have spoken, this fight has the attention of everyone from MMA to the Mainstream. This weekend at Madison Square Garden someone will be crowned "The Baddest Motherfxxker" but who will it be?
Now I have never been to America, so I dont know exactly why, but from what I have seen over the years in Media,Movies and Music, There is heat between the Westcoast and Eastcoast of America.Some take is seriously, others as a friendly jab, but this fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal is basically a West vs East fight. Now both men have been friendly and respectful to each other, which is great and honourable, Just a little more trash talk would of been nice for once, Just saying. This Fight between Nate and Jorge is more then just a who's the BMF in MMA, it is a change of the tide in UFC. Both Nate and Jorge are now faces of the company, they can sell fights, entertain fans both in and out of the octagon, they are superstars. Which is why I think this fight, in a way, is a thank you from UFC to the fans. We wanted this fight and they listened, even to go as far as creating the BMF belt. That is awesome if I say so myself. its refreshing.
The winner of this fight will have not only get a new once of belt and be known as 'The Baddest Motherfxxker" in MMA. The winner of this will have all the cards in their hands, a golden ticket if you will. Jorge has always wanted to be a Champion in MMA, a win over Nate will guarantee him the next no.1 Contender spot, A goal Jorge thought would never happen, is now actually a possibility. Nate on the other hand, A win for him could open up everything he wanted as an MMA fighter. Nate could call out McGregor for the Trilogy, Call for a shot at the Welterweight Title or even skip the queue and call out Khabib Nurmagomedov for the LW title. Both Nate's and Jorge's futures could change forever this weekend.
It's all set( so we hope) that by the end of this entire week that we will crown either Nate Diaz or Jorge Masvidal the "Baddest Motherfxxker" in All of MMA.
Whoever's side you are on, that doesn't matter at all because I think for once, MMA fans win this one, regardless of the outcome.
