Yoel Romero has now moved to 2-3 in his last few fights in the UFC, but Jesus Christ, even when the man loses, he wins. In an Absolute classic and a fight that live up to the hype and delivered. Yoel made an Untouchable Paulo Costa look mortal, as he took everything the Brazilian swung at him and absorbed all the damage, while dissing out some aswell. In a Fight where Fans and Critics said that Yoel won the fight or it should of been a draw, Paulo Costa walked away with the decision at UFC 241.
What is it exactly that fans love about Yoel? His Elite Wrestling? His insane KO power? His ability to endure a hellish amount of Damage? its everything actually, Yoel is the Total Package when its comes to MMA. He is a test to anyone that steps into the cage with him, and most of the time, fighter's fail that test.
Since his debut back in 2013, Yoel has carved out a crazy path of destruction, all of the fighters that stood up to fight him have all failed. It's like they enter the Octagon to Face Yoel and afterwards, Leave a different person. Every fighter that Yoel has faced be it Chris Weidman,Luke Rockhold,Lyoto Machida and Current MW Champ Robert Whittaker have said that they never fought someone like Yoel or experienced that level of power. Yoel is in a league of his own.
There has always been talk of Yoel moving up to Light-Heavyweight, Since previous times he has missed weight, especially when it came to title fights. He made a statement Making weight before UFC 241, but how much longer can Yoel do that for? Is LHW the next step for the 'Solider Of God'? Is he staying at MW because of his ranking and doesn't want to start again if he moved a weight class? I for sure would love to see Yoel at least in One fight at LHW before he calls it a day (whenever that is)
